Help Santa’s Home Stay Cool – Reduce your Holiday Waste, Lower Your Energy Consumption!

Please send best wishes to four Maryville College students, the MC-EPA-EE Fellows, as they travel to Loudon Elementary School on Thursday, December 15th to provide a community environmental education activity to grade school students and their families at their holiday concert! 

The Fellow’s “Out of the Box Sustainability” project is designed to remind students and their parents to reduce holiday waste (we create 25% more waste during the holidays), and to decrease energy consumption during the holiday season. 

This is the first Community Environmental Education (CEE) event that is part of the US Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Education (EPA-EE) grant Maryville College was awarded this fall. Keep Blount Beautiful is participating in this grant by serving as an advisor.
