Our classroom lessons combine environmental science with creative activities, like making recycled crafts from everyday items. We serve public, private, and homeschool groups and we’re happy to customize content just for you.

Follow along as Fred the Fish makes his way down the Little River and experiences the effects of stormwater runoff. This activity is paired with What is a Watershed, What is a Wetland, a water quality matching game, a book reading, or a coloring activity.

Litter Lessons teach students the negative effects of litter as well as litter prevention and eradication. Can be followed with a school litter pick-up.

The 3 R’s lesson teaches students all about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. After the lesson, students will be able to use what they learned to play a recycle relay or recycle sorting game.

Composting 101 introduces students to the importance of composting in terms of waste reduction and how to best compost organic materials.

Students will learn how paper is recycled by making recycled paper of their own.

Keep Blount Beautiful will provide trash bags and gloves so students can pick up litter on their school property.
Grade Level- K-8th
Students will learn the importance of conserving energy use and how they can conserve energy in their home. Followed by an energy conservation matching game.
Grade Level- 2nd-5th
Similar to the Energy Conservation lesson, students will learn about renewable and non-renewable energy. Followed by an energy conservation matching game.
Grade Level- 4th-6th
KBB will provide materials to make a recycled craft, such as steel can planters and egg carton seed starters.
